ROQ Capital (formerly Armbrok) is a legacy Armenian investment company. Founded in 1994, it became a symbol of trust, resilience, and financial expertise, growing alongside Armenia since its independence. After 30 years, the company set out to reposition itself for a fundamentally changed era.

Challenge
The traditional financial advisory model had transformed, and the company itself had evolved far beyond brokerage. Yet the brand assets, including the name, continued to define it within that narrow frame. The core challenge was to modernize a 30-year legacy without betraying the foundation that made it iconic and the people who trusted it.
Answer
A comprehensive analytical process combining internal discovery, benchmarking, and category decoding led to a clear insight: the old hierarchy of finance had collapsed, and the advisor–client relationship had fundamentally changed. A new generation of investors has emerged: self-made, informed, and independent. They are not looking for authority. They are looking for an equal – one who stands with them, not above them. This became the basis of the concept — Power of Doubles: two sides working as one. Not guiding from a distance, but playing together. Armbrok’s long-term partnership ethos was captured in the line: We don’t play games. We play the match. As the company had already outgrown its original scope, both the brand and the name needed to reflect this philosophy. From Armbrok, we brought forward its core idea — rock: stable, grounded, enduring — and reshaped it into ROQ Capital. A name that keeps the legacy, while allowing the company to operate in a broader, modern context.
